(i) "Buyer" means the person who buys or agrees to buy the Goods from the Company.
(ii) "Goods" mean the Goods that the Company is to supply in accordance with these conditions of sale.
(iii) "Carrier" such person notified to the Company by the Buyer as being authorised by the Buyer to take delivery of the Goods on its behalf.


Price information 


In the unlikely event of an administrative error resulting in an incorrect price being given, we reserve the right to correct the price. In these circumstances, you will not be bound to continue with your purchase, and will be asked to email us to confirm that you wish to proceed. All quotes given are valid for a period of 30 days from the date given. Every effort is made to ensure our staff give accurate information.




We accept payment using most major credit and debit cards and PayPal. Goods will only be released once payment has been received by us in full. You may pay your order(s) using some of the cards listed below. Please be sure to provide your exact billing address and telephone number that your credit/debit card has on file for you - this will ensure no delays in processing your order.

All credit and charge card holders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to authorise payment to us, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery. We can only accept orders from holders of credit or debit cards registered at UK addresses.


Optical Quality


The toughening process will inevitably result in a product whose optical quality is lower than that of a panel from which it was produced. 

Surface distortion is produced by a reduction in the surface flatness which can be seen particularly in reflection. This can be exacerbated when the glass used is surface coated (including post toughening coating i.e. back painting and silvering for mirrors) 


Industry Standard Tolerances


For tolerances on individual materials please contact the sales office on 0800 043 6900 BEFORE you place your order. Returns due to material supplied within normal manufacturing tolerances will not be accepted under any circumstances. Our standard cutting and machining tolerance is +/-2mm.  


Colour Reproduction


Reproduction of colour online is as accurate as photographic and electronic processes will allow. Colours appear very differently from computer to computer, both on the screen and when printed with different printers. Colour charts when viewed on the Internet, can only give an approximate indication of the actual colour of the glass. Due to the variation in the manufacture of glass the colours as shown on the colour chart or sample cannot be guaranteed. The Company will use its reasonable endeavours to match as closely as possible the finished Product with the colour chart.


Certain glass types other than low-iron have a higher content of iron in them which causes a green effect that slightly changes the final colour of the colour coat. 

Hand-Silvered Mirrors


All mirrors sold by Lux Glass are hand-silvered and therefore will result in a product that will vary on quality from mirror to mirror. Lux Glass will quality-check each panel allowing for tolerances which may appear as small dots or water marks. Due to the nature of how each mirror is produced, a perfect piece cannot be guaranteed. The Company will use its reasonable endeaveours to ensure each panel is to the highest standard before approving. If a mirror fails these checks Lux Glass are not responsible for the delay in having the panel reproduced and will not be liable for any contract charges, consequential losses or any other costs that might be incurred by the customer unless otherwise agreed in writing in advance.


Delivery of Supply-Only Goods 


Lux Glass deliver to addresses within the United Kingdom although for deliveries to non-mainland UK addresses and certain remote locations e.g. Scottish Isles, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Northern Ireland, Scottish Highlands, Channel Islands there may be an additional delivery charge and slightly longer delivery lead time. We will advise if there are any additional carriage charges to your order once it has been received by us for processing. In these circumstances, you will not be bound to continue with your purchase, and will be asked to email us to confirm that you wish to proceed. Goods can be delivered either to most UK business or home addresses with a valid postcode. Your order will be delivered by Courier. A signature is required for all Courier deliveries. Upon receipt of your order you will be asked to sign for the goods received in good condition. If the package does not appear to be in good condition then please refuse the delivery. If you are unable to check the contents of your delivery at the point of delivery then please sign for the parcel as "UNCHECKED". Failure to do so may affect any warranty claims that you make thereafter. 


Delivery Times – Supply-Only Orders


Delivery times are calculated in working days - i.e. Monday to Friday inclusive (working days do not include weekends or National Bank Holidays). In case of Bank Holidays please allow an extra 2 working days. From the receipt of your order we will endeavour to deliver your chosen items to you within 28 days, unless a longer delivery time is given to you when you place your order or due to unforeseeable circumstances. Deliveries to non-Mainland or remote locations may take longer. Risk in the goods will pass to you on delivery. Delivery is deemed to have taken place once a signature has been received accepting such delivery. Goods delivered by courier should arrive between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. All deliveries must be signed for. If you are out when the courier arrives the Courier will leave a card with the contact number for you to call to arrange a suitable time for redelivery or for you to collect the goods from the local depot.


Delivery & Installation of Template and Fit Orders


Lux Glass will endeavour to meet agreed time-lines but where is this not possible it will not be liable for any contract charges, consequential losses or any other costs that might be incurred by the customer unless otherwise agreed in writing in advance. Lux Glass is under no obligation to make delivery at any specified time. Time shall not be of the essence with respect only to the Lux Glass’ delivery obligations and there shall be no liability in respect of any loss incurred by the customer arising from any delay in delivery of the Goods or performance of the Services or any part thereof.




We do everything we can to meet the delivery time specified, however occasionally delivery times may be affected by factors beyond our control and cannot be guaranteed. We will inform you if we become aware of an unexpected delay. We shall have no liability whatsoever for any damages or losses arising directly or indirectly as a result of failed delivery. 

Unwanted Goods


We do not offer refunds or exchanges for unwanted goods, unless they are faulty or identified as damaged on receipt of delivery. Please also note that these regulations do not apply to cut pieces, machined parts or any other item which has been manufactured, cut or supplied to your personal specifications. Any returns must be agreed and authorised by us in writing before they can be accepted. This does not affect your statutory rights. 


Faulty Goods


If you purchase a product from us which is found to be faulty we will supply a replacement product, arrange for a repair or give you a refund of the purchase price. Simply contact us in writing or by email, once confirmed by Lux Glass we will arrange for a carrier to pick up and return it to us. You are advised to keep the shipping certificate as proof of returning items this way.


In all cases, our delivery note or other proof of purchase must accompany the returned product. Upon receipt of the product we will examine it. We aim to dispatch a replacement product, arrange a repair or refund your money within 21 days.


Any returns must be agreed and authorised by us in writing before they can be accepted. You have 24 hours to report faulty products. Goods will not be credited or replaced after this time.
